TWO THINGS THAT I DECIDED TO FOCUS ON FOR 2019

Updated: Jun 10, 2020
I've spent the last 9 months adjusting to my new life goals. Now that the end of 2018 is near, winter seemed like the perfect transition to talk about the two things that I've decided to focus on for 2019. Here are the two things that I've decided to focus on for 2019.

Fitness
When I was 15 years old, I kept gaining weight uncontrollably and was soon diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is a very serious health problem that affects one in ten women of childbearing age. Women that suffer from PCOS have a hormonal imbalance that slows their metabolism down.
Little did I know that I would go on a weight battle for the rest of my life. At my biggest, I weighed 105 kilograms. I was constantly fat-shamed and bullied, even though I was pretty sporty for someone my age.
Ten years later and thirty-six kilos lighter, I fought obesity and won. I still don't feel completely comfortable in my skin as I still want to lose a little more weight and turn my fat into muscle. I have accepted that I will always be on the curvier side, and that curvy is sexy, but it is still an inner struggle every single day.

Social Media
After being fired from my last previous job, I had enough time to sit down and think about what I wanted to do in my life. One of the main reasons I got fired, apart from the fact that my supervisor was a psycho, was that I wasn't passionate enough at what I was doing. When looking back at it, that was something that I needed to go through to realise that Social Media was my real passion.
For years I would spend hours looking at fitness and fashion-related YouTube channels and one day I just decided to create my blog and Social media identity. Was it difficult? Yes, it was.
After I was done with my blog, I felt like it gave only more relevance to my Instagram account. Soon English fitness apparel companies started reaching out to me. It was then that I realised that my Instagram presence was becoming more official.
